Are you an Optimist, Pessimist, or Realist?

Optimists are positive people who see the best in people and situations and are hopeful for the future. These would be the Tigger's of the world ( TO use Winnie the Pooh)

Pessimists see the negative in people and situations, and lack hope. They realize that if they do not die today, it's gonna happen sooner or later so there is nothing to get too happy about. ( These would be the Eeyore's of the world)

Realists see things as being possibly negative or positive and have some hope while watching for the knife that is being thrust towards their back. ( These would be the "I-have-no-Pooh-Analogy" people.)

I have a quote by my dad I like:
There are three kindas people in this world-
- the ones who see the water glass as half full
- the ones who see the water glass as half empty
- and the rest are just pissed cause they ordered orange juice
I am not really sure what I consider myself, for the most part Im optimistic, but sometimes you cant help to be pesimistic.

(edited for clarity)

Idealist.

An optimist sees only good and overlooks the bad.
A pessimist sees only bad and overlooks the good.
A realist accepts the bad and the good.
An idealist sees the good that could be and wants to get rid of the bad.

when you define it that way im kinda in between a realist and an idealist. I honestly dont think anyone would actually define themselves between a optimist and a pessimist.

There is no black & white, and it depends on the issues at the time.If youre stuck in one pigeon-hole,youre mentally challenged

I am a realist who has a strong tendency towards pessimism. Life always screws me in the end, so I might as well brace for the worst. Every time I have hope for something to go right is usually when it goes disastrously wrong. At least I have death to look forwards to, but even that will likely get messed up somehow. If you had lived my life and had my experiences, you would understand why I feel this way.
