Zup,First and foremost I want to thank you all who helped me out with my car,I went in today for a retest and the car passed no sweat 😀 ,I replaced the egr valve because it looked blocked with carbon deposits and i didnt think it was working, old as piece, and i also ordered a carb, put it in right and everything and it passed.I went to the smog station ad it passed, but the car is a little high at idle or a little accelerated I dont know,How do i tone it down alittle? everything is connected right and the guy that i purchased the carb from has 25 years experience rebuilding carbs so he knows what hes doing,he said he set it to factory specs, but like i said, idle is a little high, let me know how and where to adjust if you could guys, thanks

Is it the computer controlled carb?

There is a set screw on the driver's side of the carb that the bellcrank touches when the gas pedal is not depressed to set the idle speed, just like a normal Quadrajet. Back it off a bit with a screwdriver ( or small wrench) to set the idle speed. It is in front of the primary throttle shaft and up about an inch and towards the front.
