Who wants to buy this Monte for $1000?
I know this should be in for sale, but I'm not selling it, and it's helping me out as well, as I'll be taking the wheels of it, and going in with some $$ as well. So let me know if anyone wants the car, with factory wheels and rubber for around $1000. I have a deal with the guy, so let me know if anyone wants it VIA PM. Thanks.

Here is the ad.

i know this is a bit of a dead thread but my friend bought this car off kijiji and i just finished working on it.

so far i put mandrel bent flowmaster exhaust with h pipe on, headers, and two days of welding up the frame rails on it.

just a suggestion for anyone that is going to fix their rails, DONT FORGET TO LEAVE DRAIN HOLES IN THE BOTTOM OF THE RAILS!
the drivers side had NOTHING left of the sides and most of the bottom that was already repaired. i cut all the bad stuff out and most of the repaired part cause it was plated in layers, the passenger side was never repaired before so all i had to do was a little strip on both sides and a plate on the bottom.
on the bright side, the underside of the body was MINTMINTMINT! not a hole!

i havent installed the tail pipes yet but it sounds HORNY that deep......lol
i tuned the carb and a tineup and it likes to spin now. lol

sometime in the summer we are going to drop in his mild 350 w/cam/intake/holley carb and a stall to match, and i have a spare 7.5 3.73 sitting around so it will all in all be a fun driver for him.

sorry again for reviving the dead. lol

😀 😀 😀

Did you make the repair pieces yourself, or use rust-free southern parts, or the repair rails that are available for these cars? Just curious.

it looks like the drivers rail started to go and they plated it, then it got REAL bad. the pass side was almost as bad, but the car was undercoated so they probably didnt notice it as soon.

we used 3" wide 3/16" or a little thicker strips and a 1/4" plate that i cut out for the pass side bottom of the frame. the 1/4" plate was left over from when i had to plate my camino frame after it bent at the track.

i will get pics so you can see what i did when i get around the car again.
