just put on an edelbrock carb with and automatic transmission and having some trouble finding a good place to hook up the return spring. There is only one good spot at the front of the throttle bracket to hook the spring to but I don't have a good place forward of that to hook the other end of the spring to. Has anyone had this problem? Anyone come up with an innovative way to hook up there return spring?

You might laugh or call me unsafe but I actually looped it under the clamp for the upper radiator hose on the water neck. Works well and has never gotten loose.

How about looping it around the throttle/kickdown cable bracket and to the bottom of the linkage?? That was my idea.

yea I was thinking that too, just have to figure out a way of doing it so it doesn't bind with the cable. Right now it's connected to the dist cap. (temporarily)

i aways use the upper radiater hose clamp...

This works.

That's exactly what I did; now, if I could just get fuel to the carb, I'd be much happier. 🙁

i purchased a small chrome bracket at autozone,it bolts to one of the intake bolts,im sure you could make one very easily, its just l-shaped with a couple holes

It may not be this easy since you have an automatic, but I ran mine back to a couple small holes on my cheapy Spectre throttle cable braket.
