I forget where we got the exhaust tips. I'll find out from my mechanic this week. The exhaust is a single in, two out. No catalytic converter and no muffler. We were planning on doing a flowmaster but we figured it wasn't worth it being a V6 n all. We wanted to get the most sound out of it that we could. Once we drop in the 350 then we can atleast reuse the tips and do a true dual setup. And yea, I did the same head unit placement on my '88
Caprice Brougham. I just like keeping as much original as possible. My step dad had a
Grand National when I was growing up so that's basically the reason for my obsession with G Bodies. My past cars were an '87
Caprice, '88
Caprice and an '87 Lincoln Town Car. I always wanted a Regal or Cutlass but I ended up with those cars mainly because they were really good deals at the time. But I finally got this Cutlass...I'm slowly doing the things I wanna do with it, trying to get the money together still.
Here's a shot with the faceplate on it. I had a Pioneer deck but my car was broken into a couple months ago. Had to replace the door locks and trunk lock. I got an alarm installed and actuators so I could finally have power locks. But I like this deck a lot more anyway, I can change the colors and my Pioneer was shot. Getting a ton of engine noise but it's crystal clear now.
And here's a video so you can hear the exhaust. It's not too shabby for a 3.8. lol
