Hey guys what's up i got a 3 gauge pillar pod for my Monte Carlo and my friend said that I had to use electric gauges I was just wondering if I can use the mechanical gauges

I guess you could use mechanical, but the oil pressure and water temp sending unit cables would have to be longer. I don't think the lengths that come in the kits are gonna be long enough. Plus if the oil pressure starts to leak your gonna get oil all over ya? 😀

Wheres the best place to get them? Like jegs or summit? And aren't they a bit pricey

i looked arounda quite bit and didn't want to shell out all the money that summit wanted for gauges and sending units but couldnt find anything cheaper and i have been happy with everything i have bought from summit so i just bit the bullet. you may be able to get some sending units from a place like napa if you get a part number from the suggested sending unit according to the manufactuer of the gauge. i used vdo gauges and sending units and have been quite pleased with them
