I was removing my pitman arm and cut alittle to deep and cut the bolt. It’s useless now correct ?

Lemme get this straight...

you CUT the pitman arm off the center link? Advance Auto, et al, has "rental" tools you can rent, pop the center link and tie-rods out, and get all your money back when you return the tool.

Just wondering why you had to cut the pitman arm in the first place? Putting on a different one or what?

Yup, inquiring minds might like to know, me too. Even if this was a one shot exercise, never to be done again, Renting the correct puller makes things both safer and simpler. With all the grease and crap visible on that box, good thing a red hot wrench wasn't involved.

The arm was seized on wouldn’t come off but I was switching out the box and arm for manual box and the arm didn’t fit which I didn’t realize until after I had the box. I used the puller didn’t work and used the forks

Often when trying to pull the pitman arm from a box the puller is not enough. Last one I did I got the puller as tight as I dared and then heated the pitman arm with a MAPP gas torch and when it got hot enough it made a popping noise and came right off.

Forks are the worst tool in my opinion for separating those taper joints. An air hammer with a hammer head bit will usually pop them off in seconds. Manual hammering will work too In the case of the pitman arm hold one hammer on one side of the pitman arm small end and hammer on the other side of the pitman arm in slow heavy blows.
