So...who here delivers pizza...or is it just me? Also, how many of us have used a G body as their primary delivery car? I have done that with mine both before and after the engine swap.

I'll bet it smells good. 😀 Mine usually smells like sweat from working.

Well, stale pizza stench is not a pleasant thing. I get used to it, but in years I had to go without A/C it stunk like dirty gym socks mixed with pizza. My truck now smells of Simple Green since I cleaned the cloth on the driver's seat and door panel the other day. If you've never used it to clean velour or cloth upholstery, you have to try it. It's amazing and even takes out black grease in light gray cloth! It makes it soft as new when it's done. I usually pull the seats, scrub them with a small scrub brush and hose them out followed by a good cleaning with the shop vac, then let them sit and dry for a day or two.

That's a good tip. I've got a question you might know - trying to find a carpet paint dye that will stay on the carpet. I have used the generic spray ones at NAPA/Autozone in the past. Is there something better to use? I don't want to buy a new carpet for 300$+. I have sweated off the old carpet fabric paint twice so I gave up until the interior is finished

I was a pizza driver when I was 20-22. My delivery car was a 97 Monte Carlo Z34 (bad idea). I bought the car with 33k miles in 2000 and 2 years later when I went to trade it in, it had 98k miles and it was completely ragged out. I had an 87 Cutlass Supreme that I used as backup just in case the alternator went out on the Monte or something.

Basically, if you didn't smoke weed or pop pills on the job you were considered an outcast. At least that's how it was at the place I worked for, even the owner smoked out with us and the manager was constantly on Xanax 24/7, he was like a zombie walking around all day.

I won't even get started on the "counter sl*ts" that worked there. I don't miss working at that place one bit.

Yeah, I am the oddball at my store as I have no affinity for illegal drugs and drunkenness. I want to get out of the business really bad, but I can't get any other work until I finish school and the economy turns around. Right now I am just happy to be working.

As for people, I have known a few good ones and a lot of human tragedies. I consider myself a casualty of the business because the hours have kept me from finding anyone to love. Nowadays, if I meet someone good I am too old for them to go out with me on a romantic basis. All the business has left me is a few ruined cars, a house that needs work, and unbearable loneliness. (Yes, I recently had my heart broken which is why I am so bitchy.)

I deliver pizza. I think I used my Cutlass maybe two or three times. It had a bad rod knock and no oil pressure so I didnt like using it for that. I dont think its a bad job to have. I barely do any work and it pays the bills I have. Its definately not what I want to be doing for the rest of my life, but its better than working at Mc Donalds.
