So I'm thinking about plasti dipping my car. I've seen results over the web from were people have done there cars and it looks good. Ive also read were it is extremely durable as well. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I tried the rattle can version on my window trim and it turned out ok. One thing you have to make sure you do is cut along any tape lines to separate the overspray from the good paint. Otherwise, you will peel off your good edge with the tape.

I never had any luck plasti dipping trim pieces, but I never tried an entire car. I've seen people do it with great success. I have yet to see it on a G though! I do recall a member on the forum with a monte SS who used Raptorliner Bedliner on his car, and I really liked it. I'd love to see someone plasti dip a G body.

The only real problem I can see with it is the amount of sharp edges and nooks and crannies in these cars. Any of the newer cars I've seen plasti-dipped have smooth lines with minimal trim to tape off. I would like to see it done though.

If you look under the "General Discussion" section here you will find a thread where someone plastidipped their Malibu. It might be a page or 2 back by now but it was fairly recent.

I have some questions,Did you sand the trim before plasti dipping ? You think it will hold up even better if there sanded ,an you spray that stuff just like you would spray paint ? wonder how many cans i would need to do front/back window trim, side quarter window trim, drip rails an maybe chrome door handles,i would think 2 cans would be plenty but iv never used that sh*t before an don't know how it sprays
