I'm wondering what benefits does an edelbrock performer aluminum intake have over a stock pontiac 4bbl intake. I know Ikbow about the weight savings, but I wonder if it flows better, has better performance gains etc.
From what I have read, the stock Pontiac iron intake is a great well engineered piece. The rpm range is from idle to the Pontiac V-8 redline. The performer is merely an aluminum exact copy and all you are getting is the weight savings. The Performer RPM is supposed to be slightly better, meaning better flow at higher rpm. Check out the Pontiac sites and you will get lots of opinions.
