Power antenna

I messed around with my broken power antenna for hours, including installing a "repair kit" with no success. I think I installed it on the car about four times before breaking down and buying one from nos4gn.com. The replacment unit is nice, but the whip part is not exactly like the original. It seems a little "flimsy" as compared to the OEM. I could have just put my old whip on the new unit since there was nothing wrong with that part, but I elected not to crack open the new one. Also, the mounting bracket on the replacement unit is reversible. I think the picture on the nos4gn site shows the bracket opposite of where it needs to be for an Olds. It's easy to reverse the bracket by removing two phillips screws.

I just got a universal adjustable one... Looks like a power antennae, but it always stays up.
I would like a new power one, but $20 for a universal or $150...
