My 1984 Cutlass has 60/40 front seats. Can this be "converted" to power seats and keeping the same seats?

For instance, by changing the rails only w/ the power actuators, or are the no-power versus power seats radically different?

You will need a set of power tracks . I hear of them being made work from other cars .The bucket and bench are different but its most how the seat is offset . But dont know . MOst you find will probably be broke .But I do know that the newer 87 to mid 90s motors could be made work on old tracks . I have 99 Cameo power motor on my tracks .

ok - i have access to a 1983 Cutlass part car.

My question is - using just the tracks and electric stuff from the donor car would be ok to match with my existing seats?

I used tracks from a 60/40 gbody seats for both my front aftermarket bucket seats, for me I made brackets to adapt to my seats but the power tracks will just be an
R & R for factory seats and you will have to wire in the power and also mount the control switch on the seat( which might already be set up for it) on mine I had to pull back the upholstery and mount an aluminum plate so I could put the switch on the front instead of the side.

I have the power seat tracks for a 60/40 bench seat..., was gonna use but instead went with bucket seats in my interior redo. it includes the track, power harness, switch bracket and switch.. did test ok PM if interested!
