I have an 1987 Cutlass Salon. I am not getting power to the driver's seat. If I hook up a hot wire to the motor, it works fine and the seat moves. I traced the power wire to the dash. It does not go to the fuse box. Instead, it leads to a white connector way up and under the dash that seems to connect to the firewall, kinda behind the wiper motor. But when I look in the engine bay, I can't seem to find connections to that area. Negative wire seems fine, power wire is not torn, ripped, or touching bare metal. What else can I do to get power to my seat if there is no fuse for it?

Thanks

That type of load usually goes to a circuit breaker. Other than that what I did was I ran my seat to the fused 12 volt accessory cavity located at the lower right hand corner of the fuse block. The plug in connector that fits the cavity I pirated from an '86 Monte SS. It was pink and had an orange 10 gauge lead.

There is is a single heavy gage wire that connects the white terminal acessory strip to the fuse block. Like Bonnewagon already stated, your problem is likely the circuit interuptor in the fuse block.
