So I'm trying to pull the high-back buckets out of this junker GP in my yard, and realize that the drivers side is actually a 6-way power! Unfortunately its moved all the way back so I can't get at the rear bolts to get the thing out!

Is there any way to 'pop' the mechanism so it'll move out of the way? I figure the only other alternative is to decipher the wiring and hook a battery up to it and hope the motor still works... Need some ideas.

i had a similar issue pulling cadillac seats a few months ago, i unbolted the front and rocked the seat cack and forth until the metal broke away. that would work if you dont care about the seat tracks. if you want the tracks i think the battery is the only option. maybe unbolt the seat from the tracks?? gear wrenchs are the best thing in the world for stuff like this

Maybe if you could disconnect the power seat transmission or disconnect it's cables?
