Anybody do this swap? I've read that power seat transmissions in certain GM vehicles 88'-92' will swap into our G body seat tracks. The new design uses 3 motors and does not have the crappy nylon transmissions that either strip out, crack or snap the drive coupling. I saw a few Buick Century's in the yard today with the newer 3 motor set up and the rail spacing looked the same.

I've never heard of this, but I'd be interested to learn more. I swapped in a power driver's seat track from an '82 Regal into my '84 Monte, but the Regal seat track came from a car that had a split bench seat, not buckets, and I've since found out that there are differences between the split bench and bucket seat tracks. I had to fabricate a couple of adapter brackets to mate the Monte bucket seat onto the Regal seat track, and I can't get enough adjustment out of the Regal seat track to get the seat low enough or far enough back to be comfortable. Looking forward to learning more about this swap.
