Power steering pump differences-O ring-Flare ???

I bought a reman O ring style power steering pump this morning. Just tried to put on my bracket but the holes don't line up. What the ?????????

This is a small Chevy 305 by the way. I just tried the bracket on an old flare style pump from my 78 Salon and it lined up. I thought the brackets were the same from late 70s up to late 80s whether you had a flare hose or O-ring hose pump???

Got a pump for an 85 Chevy truck and the bracket fit

I also thought the brackets would've been the same. Go figure. That's the general for you..
