power streering pump question

see if i can make this short
took out olds motor put in chevy how come the power streering pressure line doesn't fit into the back of the pump.seems like the fitting is to long anyone with answers

They changed the fitting around 82' or 83'. Old one was a double flare and new type is ISO bubble. That caused me a ton of headaches. Are your years compatible?

bonnewagon is correct about the fittings. If i recall right, a (long) while back i ran into this same problem. If my memory is correct you can take the fittings and switch them around. I think there is a spring behind the fitting that will want to come out also.
