ok i swapped the window tracks and motors in my 85 from my parts car 85 cutlass. is there some kind of control module or relay i need to pull off the donor car? i looked under the dash and didnt see what i was looking for. i know i need a FSM or haynes but i havent got one yet. anyone do this, and can guide me into whats next?

if I remember there is some type of relay behind the passenger kick panel. It is all the way to the bottom behind the computer.

If the car had crank windows, you'll need the cross-car harness, as well as both door harnesses to make it work. The cross car harness is next to the cowl, and is accessed by removing the steering column, dash, ventilation ducts, and defrost ductwork.

The relays in the pass side kick panel are for power locks.

ok, i pulled damn near the whole harness out before work today, im pretty sure its the right one, it went across in a channel behind the dash, then connected to a relay in a metal casing behind the computer. thanks for the help.

Make sure you also got the circuit breaker (silver box) that is used instead of a fuse. You should also have gotten the plug that goes into the fuse box that the circuit breaker bridges to power the windows, if I am remembering the system correctly. Are you doing power locks too, or just windows?
