I agree 200% with that. I was stupid enough to give a statement after reporting a fire I saw, and the police hounded me for a year afterward. I had my garbage taken and gone through, etc. After I had given the statement they came to my work several times, but at the end of the first time I told them I would not speak to them further without the presence of an attorney. Interestingly, they never came to my house, only to my work. I guess was an intimidation tactic. Just remember: NEVER trust the government!
