priests :roll: wtf???

why is it that if a priest rapes a little boy, he's moved to another parrish. but if a priest kisses his 2yr girlfriend, he has to leave?
i don't want this to turn into a huge religious debate or anything, but i had to get your opinions/thoughts.
another example is that during the last scandal a couple of years ago, a rabbi was fired from his synogogue for having an affair with an adult, single, female, member of the synagogue.

Since I'm not of either religion, I can't answer that. However, I feel anyone who molests children should be removed from humanity by the most painful, slowest death possible-with no exceptions for clergy.

I'm not much on religion since I was forced to attend Sunday School and confirmation, plus car shows are usually on Sundays 🙂

Its been priests for awhile now so they're on their toes and probably doing each other now. The new pedophiles are on the net, be careful what you post. They take simple baby pictures you might post to show to your family and they use it to amuse themselves. Thats no lie. No kid is safe anymore and its getting worse. 🙁 On the upside I've noticed there a sh*t load of women teachers banging their students these days. I had some teachers I would have happily done! I know, I know, its still wrong....

Funny thing is originally priests could marry just like anyone else, Peter was married. As the churches grew and became more powerful and wealthy it was thought that if the priest was married he would not be as focused on church business. So they made it a law that priests could not marry, even though it is not in the bible. There was also the belief that the woman would be able to influence her priest husband be able to take advantage of the church power and wealth.

That was actually what we learned when I was in school (catholic middle and high school), in a religion class. Though I also got a nun in that school by definition (actual definition not the popular definition) the catholic church is a cult :lol:

I am not Catholic, so I really can't answer that question, but it does smack of hypocrisy. Off the subject a little, but I feel that many of the modern sex scandals involving teachers, etc. is indicative of the ever increasing level of narcissism that seems to pervade our culture. Scripturally, I can use it to make a case for the end being near. It does say that the end times will be similar to the times of Noah with rampant sexual perversion and selfishness being the hallmarks of that time. Sexual perversion is described in the Bible as anything outside of a married heterosexual monogamous couple. Some take it further to limit what they can do as well, but I tend to take a more liberal viewpoint as to what is permissible so long as the primary restrictions of marriage, heterosexuality and monogamy are adhered to. And no, I am not one of those people who wish to outlaw everything I disagree with either. The restrictions I have are ones I adhere to voluntarily because I believe them to be right.
