I found these buckets and matching back seat @ pull a part a couple of days ago.Not bad for 25 bucks a piece, only the drivers side has a small tear about the size of a bottle cap.I was wondering is this a factory upholstery job or have they been recovered? , there was a piece of a build sheet still in the rear that indicated it was a black interior. The seats were in a 78 cutlass but you could tell that they were not in it from the factory.

Cant see the pic I see your in Tennessee what part? I go to pull-a-part every chance I get never seen a 78 but lots of 80s with really clean interior I seen this really complete 88 once I just took all the panels out couldnt carry anymore so I said forget the seats they were the origanal buckets I went back the next day everything was gone front clip back tail lights. the car frame well basically only the shell was left. oh all the panels only cost me 5 bucks too 😀 Oh I see the pic now never see ones like that NICE FIND 8)

I haven't. maybe a "custom" seat cover of some sort like you said.

Sweet score you got there.............

It was in a 78 or 79 cutlass but it was an originally a bench seat car.You could tell because there was no rear inboard mounts for buckets. just curious because I found part of a build sheet and it denoted black interior. Its not so important what they came out of because they look sweet where they are 😀 I was just curious because it has like an ostrich skin texture vinyl which I had never seen before but I dont think these have been reskined but they may have, they are probably 30 yrs old

Wow, great score. I can't answer your question but just wanted to say I bet you could patch that little tear with a little repair kit. It'll turn out sweet. 😉
