I am looking for a reputable vendor to purchase a quadrajet from. looking for something to drop onto my sbc 350. its around 300-325 horse ,mild cam non electronic controlled .

I have seen the reman ones on ebay ,jegs and summit. have seen a lot of dislike for the summit/ jegs remans. I don't have a core so I will have to eat core charge.

any help on a reputable vendor that has one in stock would be greatly appreciated.

I got mine from Mountain Man Fuel Systems ! I Put it on, Set Idle & been pounding on it for over 4 years with not a problem !!
It's a Mom & Pop that's been rebuilding quadrajets for Decades !!
Here is their info & link to their e bay store

X2 for mountain man.
I have a thread somewhere about one of his carbs.
And IIRC he will give you a limited warrenty on his carb if you send him a core. Doesnt have an effect on the cost at all.

thank you both for the info. I will try contacting him tomarrow. I unfortunetly don't have a core. looking to swap this in place of an edelbrock of questionable history.

Deano's Carbs is my vote though he may or may not have cores.

Buying an already rebuilt Qjet is very tricky. Unlike aftermarket carbs which are built to be Jack of all trades style to run on just about any engine, Qjets were originally built to be application specific for the factory powertrain setup it was intended for. For example a Qjet out of a 75 Chevy pickup is setup differently from a Qjet from a Olds sedan. Because of this and the declining supply of rebuildable Qjets, rman companies often cobble together mismatching Qjet parts to build a carb that barely works if at all. They also may use cheap generic spec parts instead of proper factory spec parts for your application. Reman companies also do some weird sh*t like block off the idle air bypass.

Everyday Performance for me. Very reasonable, car runs great and he is Ken G on this board.
