Okay I'm trying to map out my top end rebuild...the last component is the pushrods. I have a 1974 010 sbc. with stock everything pretty much. standard bore, stroke and I believe standard deck height. I am buying a set of IK 180 brodix heads, comp cams thumper cam, comp cams 1.5 die-cast aluminum roller rockers and howard cams retrofit roller lifters. I want to know what length would be right for my setup? I thought stock ones were 7.266" length. comp cams sells a set that are 7.2" and 7.205" that say they will work in my engine setup. If anyone can help or needs more info to help. let me know

7.8" is the stock length. Your lifters are much longer. I believe your on the right track with the 7.2 but if I were you I would call Howards and ask them. I have a feeling they will tell you to buy a pushrod length checker and see for yourself but I would call them and ask what size they recommend. Goodluck.
