Well I found an original / correct am/fm 8 track for the Grand Am on the forum months back...Bought it had it rebuilt and pulled the CD player out of the car...She's back to the original radio ...Sounds great!

Ken, My 1st Grand Am had the factory 8 track. Your're right, those things sound really good.
Do you still have the insulated speaker covers on the rear speakers?
I've upgraded to Alpine in my current G/A.
I found the newer Eldorados? have the larger magnets on thier rear speakers and thier insulated speaker housings works great with aftermarket speakers. They clip right in like the originals...with very little adjustments.
