So I know that 85 did away with Burl wood (I think ) gave way to the wood grain with silver stripes .

My 86 which I bought in late 86 has stripes . But I see other rides with out . I know probably just a parts change during run but wanted to know.

Not sure what your talking abou with silver strips, your post is hard to follow...
The trim offered is pretty straight forward, 78-85 was Burlwood, 86-88 was Teakwood. 1987 442 receive the Sheffield Gray trim. All trim had vacuum metalized Aluminum trim, for itnot to have it is just because of it being worn off due to age.
The Teakwood trim in 86 however came in a few different shades within one car from the factory, this was an eysore and didn't match.
The radio bezel would have a yellow tint to it while the door trim and center console and dash trim would have an orangish tint and the RH vent trim would have a tan tint etc... looked like crap. Also this trim fades more easily to a pinkish tint...
However all NOS Teakwood trim is the same orangish tint and I belive in mid 87-88 they started to match better.
