I have a` 79 Grand Prix. I was wondering whats the thickest spacers I can use with the original studs? I heard up to 0.25 but im not sure how accurate that is. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanx!

It depends on the rim. Some rims mount flanges are thicker/thinner. Basically to be safe you need to have the threads fully engaged in the lug nut. If not buy new longer ARP wheel studs. To be honest that should be the first thing you do if you want to run spacers.

Get longer studs they take 10 minutes to install. The factory studs are barely long enough with a factory wheel and no spacer. You can probably get some longer ones from any parts store but any race shop or website will have them and they aren't very expensive at all
