I'm removing my radiator bec it's cracked after my accident. what do I do about the a/c lines connecting to it? if I take them off then when I refill the system with freon, my system is an r12 system still. can I use the newer freon?do i have to disconnect these lines and bleed/refill the system?

Radiator or AC condensor:?: The ac hoses should be connected to the condensor, not the radiator. If you have to replace the condensor you will have to take it to someone who can safely evacuate the freon out and save it for you until you replace the damaged parts, then replace it when your done.

If it's holding pressure I would leave it alone and work around it.
