When u open the throttle quickly it takes in a great amoutn of air and there is not enough fuel because the squirter is too small. Check what number squirter u have and chenge it to the next bigger one. The go in incruments of 3. So if u have a 25 try a 28 and so on. U will have to adjust yer acc. pump overide as well.

thanks Pontiac455 im new to this style of carbs i always used the Eddys til now and here is the specs on the carb.
Quick Fuel Slayer 600
primary jet 68 primary nozzle 31
secondary jet 74 needle & set 100
idle air bleed 70/39 power valve 6.5
high speed bleed 31/31

i have the fuel level half way up sight glass and what is the acc. pump overide

Just a thought here .... but why does it matter how it responds when its in PARK :| If it performs well while driving, I would consider it to be tuned well

im new to this style of carb but it has that sputter in park or drive and once it picks up in both park and drive its fine. it only do it when i pull off in drive or tap the gas in park. and both times its below 2200 rpm

You have to be sure if its getting too much fuel r not enough. If its a flat spot u get when u hit the throttle quickly, then it needs more fuel. If its a lazy bogg then u have too much fuel. First thing is check the fuel level. U have a 31 in the primary already ya might need to change the throttle cam. What color cam do u have? Another thing to do is hook up a vac. gauage to manifold vac, stick it under a wiper blade go for a drive. Check yer vac at cruse and go two steps lower on the power valve. If yer cruse vac is 10 install a power valve with the hg of 8.
