does anyone have any experience with gbodyparts electric fan set up, is it good hows the install, the harness ext ext. I found a good deal on a aluminum radiator, but i just cant decide on what fans to get. The ones from spal USA are really nice, but really expensive, like 350 for just the fans, and another 100 for harnesses. If the gbody ones are good, i would rather just spend 100 on that which would make me a lot happier.

Thanks

I was wondering this too. How complicated is an install. Do you typically put one or two electric fans in?

I don't have any experience with the aftermarket setups (too expensive), but I've had an electric fan on my car probably for almost 7 years now. I started out with a single fan that I pirated off a chevy celebrity, it worked ok, but in traffic the engine would heat up to around 200 degrees. What I currently use is a dual setup off an 03/04 olds aurora V8, after a little shroud trimming, it fits in the car very nicely. With that fan set up I can idle in traffic in 95 degree weather at 185 degrees, very happy with the result. As far as the wiring goes, you have to make your own harness obviously. If you want a pic of what it looks like in the car let me know. Oh yeah, and by the way, my radiator is a stock 3-row type, 160 t-stat, and the engine is an olds 350.
