Radiator fitment

I have a 83 elk that I am building. I found it in a barn and the radiator was gone. I bought a alum radiator but it is 31x19 over all size. I dropped it in and the top of it is even with the hood latch. Any one had this situation? Also I don't have the holders for the radiator and I've looked all over for new ones but no luck. this is my first ever build,

How did you hold yours in ? could i see how yours is ?

Wow i actually had pics from when I did it.

Its a 4 core champion radiator.

I made an aluminum bracket to hold the fans and holds the rad.

I did notch the radiator support to get the rad straight up.
