Radiator help!

I bought a radiator from Oreilly's a few years back and I noticed it has an extra port just below the overflow port, upon research it seems as if that port is being used on some vehicles for a coolant level switch. I was wondering if anyone knew the size of this threaded hole?

I plan on buying a reducer and screwing in a barbed fitting so I can run my steam tube to it for my 5.3 swap. I bought a 3/4" reducer but it was too big, i'm thinking it may be 1/2" but i'm not sure.

Well I took the threaded plug in to work and I found that it threaded perfectly into a 1/2" female pvc fitting, so I just ordered a 1/2" to 1/4" bushing through Summit.

everyone should bookmark this link. i checked their numbers with a digital caliper and they appear to be accurate. i measured 3/4, 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 NPT fittings and adapters i have laying around.

Are you sure thats not too high for the steam port?

The 5.3 tahoe had it in the middle of the radiator. Thats where i put mine.
