Go for it Man . The fans I have are from a 90's F body . I know that the LS stuff is just a bit cooler..But I spent my wasted youth with GM in the 80's, 90's .I even spent 93 - 97 At the GM Desert Proving grounds, IN Mesa AZ. I have a set of dual LS1 fans...also have been in my garage too long.
I'm going to be replacing the radiator support, fenders, etc. first. I figured there was no need to install it at this point.
