ok guys i am looking at aluminum rads for my car. now what is the biggest we can fit. my current rad looks to be almost 32" wide. now there are two options i have found.
1 is a champion which says direct fit @ 31" supposedly cools up 2 850hp w/ dual 12" fans pulling 2800 cfm
Core Dimensions: 16 1/8" high x 26 3/8" wide (3 row core)
Overall Dimensions: 18 1/4" (19" incl cap) high x 31" wide
Upper inlet: 1 1/2" located on driver side.
Lower outlet: 1 1/2" located on passenger side.
Auto trans cooler: included
Saddle mount system
Two 12" Spal Quality Reversible fans 2800cfm
or
2 is for earlier chevy but they state up to 80 model @33" which is up to 1000hp. w dual 14" fans pulling 3600cfm
Core Dimensions: 16 1/8" high x 28 1/4" wide (3 row core)
Overall Dimensions: 18 1/4" (19" incl cap) high x 33" wide
Upper inlet: 1 1/2" located on driver side.
Lower outlet: 1 9/16" located on passenger side.
Auto trans cooler: included
Saddle mount system
two 14" spal quality reversible fans 3600cfm
will it fit? is it worth the extra $10 in cost to do it?
now i see some guys running 2 core, 3 core and 4 core. what is best, im guessing the most cooling capacity? anyways always open to input.
