I found an 84 hurst/olds on the los angeles craigslist for $4K but for some reason its been re-vined.With in having a new vin on it does the car lose value?

yes! i would say it would lose lots of value. why would u re-vin a car for? sounds fishy. i would stay away
In the ad it states that it was re-vined in new york by the DMV.I just emailed him to see if he knows why it has a new vin number.
