I currently have the carpet out of my '86 monte carlo SS t-top and before reinstalling I would like to sound deaden the car a little. I am reading that CLD type mat (kilmat, siless, amazon basics, fatmat, etc.) do not really help much with cabin noise on their own. The closed cell foam (CCF) on its own doesnt do much either.
What about a jute mat or something else to install below carpet to help block noise?
