Regal with 3.8l/thm200c transmission swap to buick 350

I am on a tight budget right now and was wondering if I can run my stock transmission and rear with a buick 350 until i can upgrade? Will I still get decent power?

Rear end will be fine.
transmission probably won't last long... The easier you are on it, the longer it will last.

A quality shift kit & cheap trans cooler will help it live & shift crisp. I had great luck with the one I got from ckperformance on special for $100. Best time to do it
