I have the a passenger side remote sport mirror off the car I am restoring. I wanted to disassemble it for paint, but have found that that is really not possible without breaking it. I have gotten it back together, but now there is a lot of slop in the mirror at the ball and socket on the back side of the mirrow itself and it flops around more than an acceptable amount. Any ideas how to fix it?

Thanks,

Paul

it sounds like you might of lost a spring,i have the one of my cutlass laying in the trunk,i can see if i can see one in there,oh ya,is it cable remote

yes, it has the long cable on it that is routed to a spot just to the right of the steering wheel. The only spring I see is under the joystick.

this is the best i can do on a pic of a tight one,but double check your spring and cables, maybe something aint just right
