I have to remove a cutlass dashboard to get the wireing harness for electric windows and locks so i can convert my car from manual to electric. How hard is it to remove the dashboard in a cutlass?

I dont have a 72 cutlass, I have a 78 but Ive taken the dash off probably 4 times already since the summer for various things but its really not that hard. There are about 40 screws and maybe 4 bolts or so holding it all in place. Make sure you remember where the screws came out. Its not bad. I found it way easier to do it if you pull the front seats out so you can lay on your back. I got the dash out and back in in a few hours and that was the first time Id taken a dash out of any car.

I found that the hardest part is getting back there behind the gauges to disconnect the wiring but its not terrible. Be patient, thats the key.

Im pulling the dash off a 80s cutlass to get the wireing harness for the electric windows and locks to put in a 80s regal.

gottcha. 80's dash should be the same as mine. Like I said, Its pretty simple just keep track of the bolts and screws. There are a few I found a little tricky to find but remember to look under the front speaker cover, behind the wood inserts, and there should be a few bolts in the bottom corner.

Good luck.
