Hi. Im quite new into Chevrolet´s (and american cars in general), but i just bought me a 1988 monte carlo LS. I want to do some buffing and clean up on the car, and my question is how do i get the wide chrome trim of? I dont want to brake anything cause parts are a pain to find here.

If its the same on a monte as a cutlass, you slide it off. I cant remember if i slid it forward or backward. Just be careful not to break the clips; but if you do break them, theyre sold everywhere. Where r u from??

i have a 79 cutlass so im sure its a little dif but when i took mine off to ploish it i took the 2 screws at each end out took the fornt wheel off and it slids right off.the wheel well trim i had to drill the screw heads off and the drill the rest of the screw out ones the trim was off i put a little bit bigger screws in and was fine.i ues eagle one wadding polish to start off with to clean the trim and to start to bering the shine out and then i uesed mothers mag & aluminum polish to shine it up real nice. in sep for a few little dings in some of the trim it looks and shines like new
