Removing the chrome trim around a Landau

This weekend I'm going to start the process of removing my old Landau top. Any tricks or tips in removeal of the chrome and painted trim pieces? I will be getting a new top put on after the prep work, so the trim will be needed back on the car. This will be on my 78 Monte.
