I have an 1984 olds cutlass supreme that has the 87 front header panel with euro lights. My question is: Has anyone, or is if fairly simple to get rid of the euro lights and go back to the sealed beams? If possible, What would need to be changed besides the lights and bezles? I am hoping that i dont need to change the entire front clip.

On a side note, is it also possible to switch back to the earlier style grill without changing the entire front clip?

the good news for you is that the 87/88 euro header is much more popular than the 86-earlier header. So find someone that wants to upgrade to the Euro panel and trade them.........based on what I've seen, $4-500 with an older setup for your Euro panel would be fair.

I wouldn't say that the 87-88 Euro header is "more popular". It was a limited volume 2 year production run so parts are harder to find. If yours is in good condition it may be worth some money. Personally, I prefer the 86 and earlier sealed beam style front end. They are more aggressive looking and the euro front end resembles a Cutlass Ciera.

the fact that more people upgrade from the earlier style to the later style than the other way around......and comparing prices between the two.....would suggest that 87/88 is more popular.
But I agree, the 86 and earlier style is better IMO.....which is why I'm swapping an 86-earlier style header on my 88 cutlass classic.

I would also say the euro header is a more popular swap but because of the limited two year production run it is "less popular" as far as availability.
