Does anyone know what year s-10 i would need to find with a manual rack.

and do they fit in a gbody 86 cutlass 442

Also what back spacing do i need to run weld pro stars

skinnies up front and like a 8 inch rim out back

I believe it's all the 1st generation S-10's... It is a steering gear box, not a rack and pinion setup. If you want to put in a rack and pinion you'll have some fabrication to do. The S-10 box is a direct bolt in, all you need to do is switch the pitman arm to the g-body one.

Look on eBay, there's always several on there...lots of them have even swapped the pitman arm too...
 
I got one from a '91 S10 when I converted. I was all ready to swap the pitman arms and for some reason I couldnt... I cant remember why, different sizes or something. So mine got installed with the s10 pitman arm and it moved my steering wheel a quarter turn to the left- perfect so i can get a good look at my tach while driving.
