hi id like to know if any has ever used s 10 lowering springs to lower there gbody, i bought some belltech lowering springs part number 4223 2inch drop springs and after install the car is still stock high , i didnt change the shocks i just slapped the springs on thinking it would drop the front.

Not sure but ive been told fbody 3rd and 4th gen. Springs work wellnot sure about s10 guess it might depend on the engine size cus s10 never came with v8 so the springs wouldnt be rated for the weight

Do you have before and after pictures of your ride height?

The resulting height has everything to do with the weight of your vehicle, the uncompressed height of the spring, and the spring rate. When replacing stock springs with new springs, remember that the stock springs are however old and worn, and will be sitting much lower than they were originally, so stock replacement springs may seem to lift the car, and lowering springs may seem to have no effect on ride height.

If you read that page, know how much your car weighs, and do the math he has laid out, you can figure out exactly which springs to go with for the height you want. (no idea on the specs of the Belltech springs, you'd have to look that up) I weighed my car, did the math, and I know that to get the ride height I want, I have to replace the original worn V6 5598 and 5379 springs with Moog 5658 and 5413. I don't know about the 5413s, but the 5658s are S10 4-cylinder springs, shorter but higher rate than the stock springs. It's my impression that a lot of people go with fancy powdercoated lowering springs, but Moog makes springs that will accomplish the exact same task for sometimes far less money.

the springs are for a v6 s10 and they where shorter 2 1/2 inches shorter then the stocks, my cars a 79 monte carlo ill take some pics thanks for all the info its really helpful
