Guys, body is coming off frame soon- question, I have a rolling rotisserie that I've borrowed. Car was originally under coated when new. Since I have this rotisserie, would you transport and just have the whole body blasted vs sanding the paint with regular tools? I figured I would spot sand blast undercarriage where need be. I'm going to lizard skin bottom of car anyway. What would you do? What does a full media blast cost roughly? Thanks!

Well I blasted my interior, frame, and firewall. The surface ends up coarse. I used sand. It takes off everything but rubberized under coat and seam seal. Leaves good surface for primer on frame and firewall. Big draw backs are the sand or media gets everywhere. Places you didn't even know were there. An air hose and a vacuum are a big help in cleaning up. If you don't cover or remove the glass it will be destroyed. I have never hired anyone to blast for me,but I have heard if you don't do it yourself it will not suit you. But that depends on how picky you are.

I'm sure a 30 gallon compressor will run out of air during the high cfm usage of sandblasting.
