I wouldn't be so bad if the interior was at least somewhat in tact but with that amount of rust I would really wonder what the condition of the frame is especially since they bought all the rust repair panels but decided to abandon the project.

Good point. It's a shame that someone let such a rare G Body deteriorate so badly.

I think I am even more amazed when I see a GN that is gone to the point of barely being a parts car.

Probably a decent deal. I just noticed. .. is the rear window the exact same as the camaro from those years?

The rear window is specific to the Monte and does not interchange with the 2 + 2 either.

Like 565 said the rear window is Monte specific. They made the aerocoupe in 86 and 87 only. Both years had different rear windows. If you have an 86 only 200 were ever made. Good luck on finding a window or rear window seal since no one reproduces them. Im trying to find a spare since they are only gonna get more rare. Cheapest I have seen for a window and rear seal is $700 and it didn't last long.

That's one of the problems with rare cars: parts are really hard to find and when you do find them, they are really overpriced.

I have had a lot of Gbody's over the years but most of them when I was younger and I can't tell how good parts I sent to the scrapyard simply because I did not need them for myself and did not feel the need to hang on to them for a future project or to sell them later when they are no longer available and worth more money.
I guess if I had the extra room back then to store them I might have thought differently but regardless I definitely know better now.
