I'm looking for info on swapping a TBI small block Chev into a G body. I have a 1986 Grand Prix that's currently an LG4 305 with a carb and a 200R4 trans. I can find early '90s GM B bodies with the TBI small block (Caprice & Roadmaster) for sale in my area relatively cheap, and I'm wondering if the engine/trans could be swapped, along with the serpentine setup. I know that you'll need to have a proper fuel delivery system and swap over the wiring harness/sensors etc. I want something that is relatively simple & cheap to do, and will have good fuel economy & reliability. I've checked several sites and found some information, but I'm just wondering if anyone here knows of a site/thread that goes into this in any detail. Also, I believe that there was a thread on this site about someone who is doing a buildup on a TBI small block, but I can't find it right now either. Any & all help is appreciated-thanks in advance.

Your best bet for TBI/TPI detailed info is thirdgen.org

That being said if your going to invest the time in doing a fuel injection swap then find a TPI candiate. TBI is really more of truck/daily injection system. Theres plenty of guys who build it but also plenty of guys who say just go carb or MPFI for performance.
