Today the local mechanic that I use gave me four engines. The first was a 4.3l v6 long block that I plan to build to put in my malibu. The others are all shortblocks including a 70's 350 truck motor, a newer 305, and what appears to be a 327. I couldn't find any markings on the last one to be sure but I'm hoping to find the casting numbers hidden somewhere under the grime. The best part is that it was all FREE!! He just wanted to get them out of his shop and told me to just take them. I couldn't believe this guy was just giving me 4 engines. I was so excited I could barely stand still long enough to thank him. Tomorrow I plan to clean them up and determine what condition they are all in.
