I was wondering how do I properly seafoam my 350 in my el camino and my 400sbc in my cutlass. I have never used seafoam, Do u pour half in carb, half in tank, or do i put 1/3 in oil, 1/3 in carb, and 1/3 in tank. My motors are completely stock except for delbrock 600s. I have seen a lot of seafoam youtube videos. Help me out guys

I've always sucked half can through the brake booster hose and the rest in the gas tank.

i added half a can in my oil, 1/4 in the biggest vacuum line i found going to the engine and the rest in the tank. it may have helped add some life to my beat to balls blown 305 in my truck along with bars stop leak.

i always do half the can in the tank and the other half threw a vaccum line then turn the engine off for maybe 20 minutes and let the stuff soak on the carbon then fire it up and watch it smoke! and if ya do use the brake booster line i wouldnt stick the hose down into the can itll suck it all up quick and shut the car off (i made that mistake once) just pour it into the brake booster line slowly.

When I use it, I will put a full bottle in the gas tank (full of gas of course), depending on my oil, if it is a little below full, I will put a full bottle in the crankcase (run it for a few days then change the oil!), and I put a full bottle through the brake booster vacuum line. (I iuse a funnel in the end of the hose and pour a little in at a time) When you put it through the vauum line, just pour enough at a time to let it bog (don't let it die), and keep doing until an amount is left in the bottle to let it die with that amount being poured in. Let the car sit for about 5 or 10 minutes (to let the Seafoam soak in), and then start it up and drive it around (if you have a safe area to do so); if not let it sit where it's parked (but not inside a garage) and you will be amazed at the smoke,a result of the carbon and gunk being burnt out.

Great stuff, Seafoam is. I use it in a car about twice a year.
$9.99 a bottle x3 for each car, but I have felt the difference in the car running better, smoother.

This guy is on point. That is how to properly seafoam a car

I find it easier to get a spray bottle and mist it into the carb while working the throttle by hand
to clean pistons and valves . Easier than trying to pour into vacuum hose in my book . Be forewarned
you will have smoke galore out the tailpipes worse than an out of tune city buss until it burns off
all the crap inside. Then a can in the tank ( full tank) .

I Have been thinking of doing this to my car and I have heard a lot of theories and ways to do it but yours makes most sense, and since you say you felt the difference im willing to take your word on it and try it! Thanks!

I did feel a difference in the smoothness, and MAYBE power, but I don't have evidence of power gains. Just reinforcing that I felt better run quality and smoothness.
