Shifter linkage doesn't fit transmission

My car is an 88 Monte carlo SS, originally had the 200R4.

I dropped my oldsmobile 403 / TH350 in and went to bolt the shifter linkage to the trans pan and only one of the holes lines up. Anybody else run into this?
When i say linkage the part i'm refering too can also be called range selector cable/shifter cable.

The 350 pan bolts are dift. than a 200. you can get a 350 brkt on ebay and it will bolt up.

You may run into an issue using a 4 speed shifter on a 3 speed as well, might want to pick up a whole setup (shifter, cable, and bracket).

Yeah i kinda figured that.... that'll be another set back.
