hey ya'll how hard is it to switch from column to floor shift...i wanna put in a T-handle B&M shifter

I've done this before to at least one of my GPs.

The column shift lever uses a mechanical linkage, which you can look at under your car, and disconnect.

The B&M Megashifter comes with the shifter cable and any linkage you need to mount to your transmission pan bolts and hook up your new floor shifter (just don't over-tighten your transmission pan bolts or you will destroy the gasket and leak transmission fluid. You will have to make a hole in your floor board to let the cable through, that's all. The shifter comes with instructions on how/where to mount it/make the hole/etc..

so it shouldnt be too bad to do in the drive way

oh ok that doesnt sound too bad at all

When I went from bench seats/column shift to Buckets and a B and M Pro Stick Shifter it wasn't so bad.....I disconnected all the linkage from the column and had to drill a few holes in the floor to accomodate the shifter....... I now have no reverse lights or neutral safety switch.............But if you really wamt the reverse lights you can set them up on a toggle switch....and my shifter has the reverse lock out---so It's all GOOD 🙂

The B&M shifters come with switches built in for the reverse lights and neutral safety, you can wire them up manually. 😀
